Meander & flo | Modular Typeface
Project Overview:
Meander & Flo is a modular typeface crafted from circles and squares. Using these geometric modules, I created each letter of the English alphabet, as well as the numbers 0 through 9, and designed a typographic poster to showcase the typeface.
In March 2023, the poster was displayed in the Leo W. Jenkins Fine Arts Center as part of an exhibition, alongside other works. During the exhibition, the poster caught the attention of the Art Director and the Dean of Students at ECU, who reached out to collaborate with the designers featured in the show.
As a result, I was invited to design a set of bookmarks featuring my modular typeface, with the phrase “ECU 2023” as the focal point. These designs were then uploaded to a laser engraver, where they were etched onto 6-inch by 1.5-inch wooden bookmarks.
